Threads of Love Ministry - Monday 7:30 KCCRC
Our Threads of Love Luncheon and Presentation was a very successful event. God has been so faithful since then. Our first Threads of Love Package was made and delivered to a hospital last Wednesday. The parents that received it had just given birth to a full term stillborn baby boy. A tramatic event for any family to undergo. The gift to them from Threads Of Love was a beautiful white Burial/Christening gown with a matching bonnet and blankie, as well as a prayer for their situation. I received a call the following day from one of the Chaplains at the hospital telling me how much that family appreciated that gift. She said the mother said, she was so touched that someone would make something so beautiful for her son, she could hardly believe that people out there cared so much for a family in such a crisis.
Threads of Love is a sewing ministry serving the needs of newborns and their families in crisis. The ministry is about healing and binding together the hearts of parents at a time of uncertainty about their baby’s health, when a baby is born premature, or when they lose an infant due to stillbirth, miscarriage or early infant death.
The mission of Threads of Love is to show parents the love of Christ, especially at a time when their personal pain is difficult to endure, and to let them know that God’s love is faithful and that his peace and serenity extends far beyond the situation.
Our Threads of Love chapter, called “Ottawa Threads of Love”, is the second chapter in Canada with over 90 chapters across the U.S.
